SOUTH HUNTINGTON TOWNSHIP, PA – Authorities were dispatched to a collision early Monday in South Huntington Township that claimed the life of one person, reports CBS News Pittsburgh.
The accident happened on a stretch of State Route 981 at Mendon Road, shortly after 4:30 a.m.
According to Westmoreland County dispatchers, two vehicles were involved, and one victim was pronounced deceased at the scene by the coroner.
Footage captured by the KDKA Drone Team indicates a black sedan sustained significant damage in the incident.
An investigation by the Pennsylvania State Police’s Belle Vernon division was underway.
No charges or citations have been confirmed at this time.
