WASHINGTON COUNTY, PA – Two people have been confirmed dead following a single-vehicle collision over the weekend in West Bethlehem Township, according to WTAE.
It’s unclear at this time whether the incident occurred on Saturday morning or Sunday night, but emergency responders were dispatched to the scene shortly before 9:30 a.m. when a passerby spotted a vehicle crashed over an embankment off Clarksville Road.
Preliminary details indicate that one person, a 36-year-old Waynesburg woman who was ejected from the vehicle during the crash, was pronounced deceased.
A span of Clarksville Road was blocked off by 3:00 p.m. as crews worked to remove the vehicle from the area.
On Sunday afternoon, the second victim, a 46-year-old Marianna resident, was also later found deceased in a vacant home near the site. Officials have not provided further details indicating how he ended up there.
An investigation by the Pennsylvania State Police remains underway.
