GREEN TREE, PA – Two people were injured when their vehicle was involved in a collision with a truck in Allegheny County last week.
The Green Tree Volunteer Fire Company released details of the Jan. 29 crash in a Facebook post. The company’s 163 rescue unit responded to the scene on Interstate 376 near Green Tree shortly before 1:30 a.m.
Crews arrived to find that a sedan had crashed into the back of a tractor-trailer that was stopped on the shoulder of the interstate.
The driver and passenger of the sedan were trapped in their car and had to be extricated by rescue crews. The two were taken to area medical facilities, though no details were released on the extent of their injuries.
There was no immediate word on what led to the accident.
