WESTMORELAND COUNTY, PA – A tractor-trailer collided with a highway maintenance vehicle early Monday in Rostraver Township, sending one person to the hospital, according to TRIBLive.
The incident took place on Interstate 70 at mile marker 47, prompting an emergency response at about 4:00 a.m.
It was not immediately apparent what led up to the wreck, but fire crews with Rostraver Central Fire Department said the impact left the big rig disabled on the side of the Yough Bridge. Photos taken at the scene show significant front-end damage on the truck.
Crews also had to clear fluids that was found leaking from the vehicle.
Officials confirmed that one person had to be transported to a local hospital, but no information regarding the patient’s condition has been made public.
