Driver, 37, Dies After Two-Vehicle Wreck in Mercer County

MERCER COUNTY, PA – A 37-year-old man from Hadley lost his life as a result of a collision Monday afternoon in Perry Township, according to WPXI.

The fatal accident was reported on a stretch of Perry Highway, prompting a response from Pennsylvania State Police and emergency crews shortly after 2:03 p.m.

Officials say the Hadley resident was driving a Jeep Cherokee northbound on the highway, when, for reasons still unclear, the vehicle went past the double yellow lines and into the opposing lane.  The Jeep collided with a pickup truck, spun, and then came to a stop in the southbound lane.

The driver of the Jeep succumbed to his injuries at the scene.

PSP said no other injuries were reported in the incident.
