Driver, Passenger Taken To Hospital After Car Collides With Bus In Washington Township

WASHINGTON HOSPITAL, PA – Police and paramedics were dispatched to a crash involving a school bus in Washington Township on Thursday afternoon, reports TribLIVE.

The Kiski Area bus collided with a car just before 4 p.m. in the area of Route 66 and Mamont Drive.  Police said the bus driver was going south on Route 66 and making a left turn onto Mamont Drive when the collision occurred.

The driver of the car and an adult passenger were transported by ambulance to an area hospital to be evaluated.  No further details were released on their condition.

No injuries were reported among the eight elementary school-age students who were on board the bus.  The children were evaluated by EMS at the scene before being dismissed to their parents or boarding another bus.
