Driver Injured When Tractor-Trailer Collides With Beaver County Tollbooth

BEAVER COUNTY, PA – Pennsylvania State Police investigated a crash that occurred last week at a tollbooth in Beaver County, according to WPXI.

The incident took place Dec. 19 at the Chippewa Interchange on Interstate 376.   A tractor-trailer crashed into a tollbooth on the interstate shortly before 7 p.m.  The driver and his service dog were taken to an area medical center with injuries to the driver that were not considered life-threatening.

The truck and the booth were both damaged in the incident.  The Chippewa Township Volunteer Fire Department responded to the scene to deal with the situation, including a large fuel spill resulting from the crash.

Interstate 376 was shut down while the cleanup continued and the damage was being assessed.
