MARSHALL TOWNSHIP, PA A 36-year-old man faces potential DUI charges after a collision with a tractor-trailer on the Pennsylvania Turnpike left him critically injured last Thursday afternoon.
According to WPXI, the driver was airlifted to a hospital with serious internal injuries after his Mazda collided with a semi at the 29.7-mile marker of Interstate 76 East around 2:43 p.m.
Investigators said the man was traveling at high speed when he lost control of his vehicle. The car struck a guardrail before crossing all three lanes of traffic and colliding with a tractor-trailer.
Emergency crews had to extricate the driver from his vehicle. The tractor-trailer driver was unhurt.
