Man, 73, Hit by SUV on Perry Hwy near West View

ALLEGHENY COUNTY, PA – A 73-year-old man suffered critical injuries in a pedestrian collision Wednesday night on Perry Highway near West View, reports CBS New Pittsburgh.

The accident happened at the intersection with Wellington Drive shortly before 8:00 p.m.

Few details have been made available, but the Allegheny County Police Department confirmed the man was struck and critically injured by a vehicle. First responders rushed him to a local hospital.

It’s unclear whether the driver, who remained at the crash site, is expected to be charged or cited.
