Man, 86, Dies After Car Collides With Truck In Westmoreland County

WESTMORELAND COUNTY, PA – One person died and another was hospitalized following a vehicle collision in Westmoreland County on Monday morning, reports KDKA.

The crash, which involved a car and a truck, occurred on the border of Westmoreland City and Manor Borough at about 8 a.m.  Authorities said the truck was carrying a construction vehicle and collided with the car at the intersection of Broadway Street and Liberty Avenue.

An 86-year-old man who was in the passenger vehicle died in the wreck.  His wife was taken to Forbes Hospital in Monroeville with undisclosed injuries.

Investigators are trying to determine what caused the incident.
