ALLEGHENY COUNTY, PA – A man lost his life Tuesday night due to a pedestrian collision in Forest Hills, according to CBS News Pittsburgh.
Allegheny County Police Department officials said the fatal wreck occurred in the 2200 block of Ardmore Boulevard (U.S. Route 30/Lincoln Highway), just before 10:00 p.m.
Very few details have been made public, but first responders arrived on the scene to find the man had been hit by an unspecified vehicle.
The victim was pronounced deceased after being transported to a hospital.
Officials noted that the driver stayed at the scene and cooperated with an investigation, which is being carried out by the ACPD’s homicide unit and the collision reconstruction unit.
No charges have been confirmed as of this writing.
