SHALER TOWNSHIP, PA – A man was hospital with serious injuries early Thursday after a bicycle wreck involving a vehicle in Shaler Township, reports CBS News Pittsburgh.
The collision took place on a stretch of Route 8 at Butler Plank Road, shortly before 5:00 a.m.
According to a preliminary investigation by Shaler Township Police, the man, described only as middle-aged, was riding a bicycle when he became involved in a crash with a vehicle.
First responders transported the cyclist to a local hospital, where he was listed in stable condition.
The driver, who remained at the scene, cooperated with investigators.
The case is being handled by the Allegheny County Police Crash Reconstruction team.
