Multi-Vehicle Accident In Chippewa Township Leaves 2 Injured

CHIPPEWA TOWNSHIP, PA – The Chippewa Township Fire Department said its crews were dispatched to a multi-vehicle accident on Saturday.

Three vehicles were involved in the incident, which occurred on Route 51 southbound just before Emmet Drive and was reported at about 5:30 p.m.

EMS personnel began treating two injured victims who were then transported by ambulance with undisclosed injuries.  Engine and Rescue 22 also deployed a trash line to cool a smoking engine and assisted with the cleanup.

Two of the vehicles were towed away, and the area was cleared in about a half hour.

The crash is under investigation by the Chippewa Township Police Department.
