PITTSBURGH, PA – A chain-reaction crash sent a vehicle into a residence in northeast Pittsburgh early Monday, reports WPXI.
The incident occurred off a stretch of North Negley Avenue in the city’s East Liberty neighborhood, prompting an emergency response at around 4:30 a.m.
According to a man who lives next door, a Camaro slammed into the front porch of a townhome after it was seen speeding through his front yard.
While details remain limited, a preliminary investigation indicates one vehicle pulled into the path of another at the intersection, causing a crash that also impacted another vehicle parked nearby. At one point during the sequence of events, the driver of one vehicle, believed to have been stolen, then fled the scene on foot.
No major injuries and/or hospitalizations were immediately announced.
Pittsburgh police are handling an investigation and continue to search for the hit-and-run driver.
