ALLEGHENY COUNTY, PA – A 26-year-old woman from West Elizabeth died Wednesday evening after a pedestrian collision on Route 837 in Jefferson Hills, according to TRIBLive.
The fatal incident occurred on a stretch of the highway in front of the Shop N Go store, prompting an emergency response shortly after 7:30 p.m.
Local officials have not released a statement indicating the circumstances, but the woman was on foot at the time of the impact.
First responders rushed her to AHN Jefferson Hospital. She was later pronounced deceased.
Crews had a section of PA 837 shut down in both directions following the event.
No charges have been reported at this time.
