PITTSBURGH, PA – One person suffered severe injuries and a dog was fatally hit Thursday afternoon as a result of a multi-vehicle collision in northeast Pittsburgh, reports WPXI.
The accident happened on a stretch of Washington Boulevard near the Mr. Magic Car Wash, in the city’s Homewood neighborhood. It was first reported at about 2:00 p.m.
According to a preliminary investigation, the victim was vacuuming their vehicle when the crash occurred, leaving them trapped underneath a vehicle.
The multi-vehicle incident also caused a dog who was traveling in one of the vehicles to run out. Moments later, they were fatally hit by another car.
Motorists were advised to avoid the area as investigators processed the scene.
