SUV Goes Up In Flames After Crashing Into Building In Penn Hills

PENN HILLS, PA – Firefighters were dispatched to the scene of a fiery crash at a building in Penn Hills early Sunday morning.

According to a post by  Penn Hills No. 7 VFC, stations were alerted for a vehicle into a structure and on fire at the intersection of Verona Road and Mount Carmel Road shortly after 2 a.m.

An SUV had crashed into a building at that location, and then caught fire with flames extending to the roof.   Firefighters extinguished the vehicle fire, and checked to make sure it had not spread any further into the building.

A smoke condition was found inside, but no fire.  One section of supply line was damaged when a vehicle drove over it.  There were no immediate reports of injuries.
